  Tao Te Ching Narration Copy Several months ago a friend of mine gave my wife a copy of the Tao Te Ching by Stephen Mitchell and this is a work that I had heard of but never read completely heard a few versus never seen a complete copy so it was nice to have a little small pocket edition the Tao to change to read in reference and then I became obsessed with it and went online and found all sorts of versions of that Tao Te Ching and I guess I kind of been looking for the quintessential introduction I think I found it with a version by Tolbert McCarroll and it's very similar to the Stephen Mitchell edition pocket edition that I own but there's a very nice introduction that goes through in Yin and Yang which I'll talk about in a second I wanted to read just from the translator's preface this little book cannot be understood any more than you can understand the river if you wish to experience the river you must jump in it so it is without a chain many things in here will c...

Free from desire, you realize the mystery. Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations. Yet mystery and manifestations arise from the same source. This source is called darkness.
